US$9 / Rs. 596
( In Stock)

Product Details

Vinayaka is a common name for Ganesha that appears in the Puranas and in Buddhist Tantras. This name is reflected in the naming of the eight famous Ganesha temples in Maharashtra known as the Ashtavinayak. The names Vignesha and Vigneshvara (Lord of Obstacles) refers to his primary function in Hindu mythology as the creator and remover of obstacles (vighna). It's a black & white ''Pattachitra" painting that means two cotton clothes are pasted by the tamarind paste & later it was painted by the natural stone color. Due to the use of natural stone color the images are even seen in the darkness. This painting is a traditional painting but we should try to find the real fine art of Orissa Craftsman.
