Product Details

Krishna is the eighth incarnation or avatar of Lord Vishnu.  Krishna is famous for playing the flute.  His flute playing would beguile the cow herder's daughters whom were all in love with Krishna.  Krishna, besides being a hero and central figure of Bhagavad-Gita, was seen as an affirmation of life.  He loved life and lived his time on this earth to the fullest. The rich variety of legends associated with Krishna's life led to an abundance of representation in painting and sculpture. The divine lover (the most common representation) is shown playing the flute. This wooden painting is crafted with skillfully arranged small wooden blocks of three different colors to form a lovely image. Materials Used- Three kinds of wood are used- Jack fruit wood (Yellow), Margosa (Red) and a kind of hairy sour apple (White) Base is made of 'Macanite Board' Maintenance & Care- It can be easily cleaned using a soft brush.
