Product Details

In Indian mythology, lord Ganesha is most revered deity. He is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati , and the God of Wisdom, and remover of obstacles. Artists have for centuries, chosen Ganapati as the theme of their creative pieces. There are innumerable Ganesha paintings and Ganesha statues and sculptures that have been executed over the ages. In these, we see not simply skill and talent at its best, but also the devoutness and devotion of the artists who made them. Ganesha is depicted as having four arms. This is because he is believed to have created the four kinds of living creatures: those that live on earth, those that live in water, those that live in both water and on earth, and those that fly in the air. In Ganesha paintings, the four arms usually hold four of the following: a conch shell, a discus, a sweet, an elephant goad, a lotus, a broken tusk, an axe, a noose, a necklace, the blessing pose. Paintings of Vinayaka also portray the rat or mouse which is his vehicle. This inlay painting is drawn on rosewood in rectangle shape. Its a unique handicraft item with inlay work on rosewood with good quality white and color plastics are used. The two vertical woods provides additional support to the painting attached with a thread to make it easy to hung on the wall.
